Proratora it is a very little Island on the Nord Est Coast of the wonderful Sardinia.
You can reach the island also swimming from the nice beach of Codacavallo, but if you need to bring with you some kg’s of radio and other stuff .. well, you should need a boat, or at least a dinghy !
This time I had with me 2 antennas, a GP 1/4 for 7Mhz and for 14Mhz, the two band interesting for this kind of activity. The antenna works very good, but need to bring a lot of cable, wire and guy to fix it ….
Sun in Sardinia could be really strong ! But on this island there is really nothing that you can help to protect you, so we are all four under a little umbrella … next time should bring a better ones.
